bATHROOM lIGHTING eLECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extractor Fan Electrical requirements
Electric extractor fans can be fitted in two ways, They can be wired to your main light pull cord inside your bathroom. Or they can be wired to an isolator switch outside your bathroom.
Either way the bathroom extractor fan will always be wired to your main light so when you turn the light on, the extractor fan will kick in automatically. once the light is turned off the fan will run for a while before automatically switching itself off.
Electric Shower requirements
A 7-kw electric shower must be fitted using a 6-mm three core power cable with fuse switch of 32-amp.
A 9-kw electric shower must be fitted using a 6-mm three core power cable with fuse switch of 40-amp.
A 9.5-kw electric shower must be fitted using a 10-mm three core power cable with fuse switch of 45-amp.
A 12.5-kw electric shower must be fitted using a 10-mm three core power cable with fuse switch of 50-amp. Be sure to choose the right electric shower for your bathroom
Plug Socket/Shaver Requirements
The only requirements for a shaver socket is that it must be at least 3-Metres away from the bath and shower to eliminate water splashes to the electric socket.
