Basic Bathroom Plumbing Layout Explained in Four Steps:
We go over a basic bathroom plumbing layout, the important aspects to consider before starting a major project. After your bathroom is plumbed, you can move on to building out the sub- walls and installing fixtures in preparation for more detailed work like wall panelling and tiling before installing new sanitary-ware.
FOUR STEPS TO BATHROOM PLUMBING LAYOUT
Step 1 – Determine where your existing pipes are and if you want to move them or replace your new sanitary-ware like for like by connecting your new appliances to the existing pipe-work.
Step 2 – Find out what kind of pipe-work is already in place whether it be copper piping, poly piping where we would follow suit with your existing pipe-work. In some cases you could have old lead piping that would need to be completely replaced to meet regulations.
Step 3 – Once we have determined what pipe-work is currently installed, we can then either use the existing if suitable or reinstall new pipes to suit your new bathroom design layout.
Step 4 – Once all the pipes are in place in order for us to fit new sanitary-ware then its time to start preparing the walls and floors ready for wall panelling or ceramic tiles to the walls and floors.
In most bathroom fitting projects we carry out, For the walls, our customers often go for wall panels or ceramic wall tiles
For the floors the usual case scenario would be anti slip bathroom floor tiles which are suitable for bathrooms or waterproof vinyl flooring to the floor, In some cases we also install underfloor heating depending on what our customers want.
